The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We process this data exclusively within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, in particular, the Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO), the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Telecommunications Act (TKG). In our data protection declaration, we inform you specifically about what data we collect and how we use and process that data when you use our website.

1. What is personal data?

Personal data is all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. your name, address, email address, IP address or your user behaviour.

2. Which data of yours do we process?

Visiting our website: if you use the website purely for information purposes, i.e. if you do not sign up for our services or provide us with information in any other way, we only collect the personal data that your browser sends to our server, thus the necessary data which is technically required for us to display our website and to guarantee its stability and security (see Art 6 Paragraph 1 lit f DSGVO). We specifically collect the following:

  • IP address
  • Date and time of the request
  • Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time
  • Content of the request (concrete page)
  • Access Status/HTTP Status Code
  • Amount of data transferred in each case
  • Website which is the source of the request
  • Browser
  • Operating system and its interface
  • Language and version of the browser software

If we ask you to register or create a user account, we collect the personal information you provide (user ID) as well as data about your requests, including past requests. If we were interested in using contracted service providers for individual functions of our offer or in using your data for advertising purposes, we would inform you in detail about the respective processes below. We would also clearly state the specified criteria for the storage period in question.

Cookies: In addition, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are assigned to the browser you are using and stored on your hard disk. They are also the means by which the site that sets the cookie (in our case, by us) subsequently receives certain information. Cookies cannot run programs, access, read or modify other data on your computer. They are simply used to make the overall internet offerings more user-friendly and effective.

This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and function of which are explained below:

  • Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. This includes session cookies, in particular. These save a so-called session ID. With this session ID, various requests from your browser can be assigned to the common session. This enables your computer to be recognized when you return to our website. The session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.
  • Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in the security settings of your browser at any time.
  • This website uses functions of the web analysis service, Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The information generated about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The level of data protection in the USA is inadequate compared to that of the European Union.
  • We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address is automatically shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transferred to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. More information about the handling of user data at Google Analytics can be found in the privacy policy of Google: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de (2018-04-20).

The Flash cookies used are not registered by your browser, but by your Flash plug-in. We also use HTML5 storage objects, which are stored on your end device. These objects store the required data regardless of the browser you use and do not have an automatic expiration date. If you do not want the Flash cookies to be processed, you must install a corresponding add-on, e.g. “better privacy” for Mozilla Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/) or the Adobe Flash Killer cookie for Google Chrome. You can prevent the use of HTML5 storage objects by setting your browser to private mode. We also recommend that you regularly delete your cookies and browser history manually.

Recipient categories: To the extent necessary, we will pass on your personal data to the following external service providers (processors):

3. What rights do you have in connection with data processing?

You have the following rights in relation to the personal data concerning you:

  • Right to information,
  • Right to correction or deletion,
  • Right to limit processing,
  • Right to object to the processing,
  • Right to data transferability.

You also have the right to file a complaint with the data protection authorities about the processing of your personal data by us.

If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke it at any time. Such revocation will affect the permissibility of the processing of your personal data after you have given it to us. If you exercise such an objection, please explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the event of your justified objection, we will examine the situation and either stop or adapt the data processing or show you our compelling reasons for continuing the processing. Of course, you can object to the processing of your personal data for advertising and data analysis purposes at any time.

To exercise your rights or in case of any other questions, please contact our responsible person: MMAG. Alexander Perterer (see our imprint).
